Michael himself views the Blue Print painting as one of the most important works of his post-graffiti years.

In it he converts hieroglyphic motifs and Chinese-inspired calligraphy. It marks the first systematic application of his ideas on intertwining the seven elements of colour, texture, shape, form, detail, style and spirituality.
